Neurodiversity Therapy and Counselling
You may identify as neurodivergent, including living with ADHD or Autism Spectrum Disorder, or you may simply feel that your mind works differently from those around you.
This can sometimes bring strengths, but also challenges. You may experience difficulty focusing, feeling easily overwhelmed, struggling with organisation, or sensing that you do not quite fit expectations in relationships, work, or everyday life.
Therapy and counselling can offer a space where these experiences can be explored without judgement, but with curiosity and respect of your uniqueness. Rather than trying to fit you into a fixed model, we can work together in a way that takes into account and honours how you think and process.
This way, it becomes possible to find ways of relating to yourself and others that feel more manageable and less effortful, while recognising and valuing your own way of being.
While each person's experience is different, some common difficulties may include:
-
Difficulty concentrating or sustaining attention
-
Feeling overwhelmed or overstimulated
-
Emotional intensity or difficulty regulating emotions
-
Challenges with organisation, time management, or structure
-
Overthinking or mental restlessness
-
Sleep difficulties
-
Feeling misunderstood or different from others
-
Difficulties in relationships or social situations
-
Periods of burnout or exhaustion
-
Anxiety or low mood
