Some questions you might have.
Your first session is a chance for you to talk about what has brought you to therapy and what you hope to change. I will ask a few questions about your background and current concerns. Together, we can begin to understand what you need and whether this feels like a good fit.
It depends on what you want from therapy. Some people come for a short period, while others prefer longer-term work. I will revisit this with you as we go, so you can move at a pace that feels right for you.
I offer psychotherapy online and over the phone. I also offer a free phone consultation before you begin, so you can ask questions and decide whether you would like to work with me. I do not offer in-person sessions at present.
Sessions are £70 for 50 minutes. The first 15-minute phone call is free. A small number of concessionary places are held for students, trainee counsellors and individuals with low income. Feel free to reach out to learn more.
Yes. I keep a small number of reduced-fee places open for students, trainee counsellors and individuals with low income. Please mention it when you get in touch and we will talk about what is possible.
You do not need to know straight away. I offer a calm, honest conversation so we can see whether my way of working feels right for you. If it does not feel like a good fit, I will say so and help you think about next steps.
Yes, within the boundaries of the BACP Ethical Framework and the law. Confidentiality, its limits, and how I hold your data are all things we talk through openly at the start.
If you feel unsafe or need immediate help, call 999 or go to A&E. You can also contact Samaritans on 116 123. I am not an emergency service, so please seek urgent support first if you are in crisis.
You can get in touch through the contact page or by phone to arrange an initial consultation. I offer a free phone consultation first, so you can ask any questions and decide whether working together feels like the right fit.
